The Pivot dashboard brings everything into focus: spaces, rooms, tasks, and settings are right where you need them. This guide will walk you through its key features, including the sidebar menu for quick access, the top navigation for easy movement between spaces, and tools like personal spaces and notifications. Each feature is built to help you stay organized and move between tasks with ease. Let’s dive into how it all works.

Top Navigation Bar: Instant Access to Key Areas

The top navigation bar is your shortcut to the most important sections in Pivot. Every tab is designed to reduce friction, keeping your work organized and easy to access. Let’s explore each one.

Home tab

Think of this as your reset button. No matter how deep you’ve navigated through spaces or rooms, one click brings you back to the dashboard, where all updates, tasks, and notifications converge. It’s your starting point when you need to regain perspective.

Calendar

View and create events, filter by date, and choose the view that works best for you—whether it’s by day, week, month, or a simple list.

My spaces

This tab provides a comprehensive list of all the spaces you belong to, organized for quick access. From large team collaborations to personal project hubs, it helps you switch between environments without the usual hassle.

Assigned to me

No more digging through conversations or emails to find what you’re responsible for. This dedicated tab compiles all tasks assigned to you in one view, helping you prioritize deadlines and tackle responsibilities without distractions. Explore spaces

Want to be part of new initiatives or get involved in ongoing projects? This tab opens the door to all available spaces within your organization. Browse through public or private spaces and join the ones that align with your goals or peak your interest.

At the very top of your screen, you’ll find navigation arrows.

Go back and forward: These arrows work like a web browser’s history, allowing you to jump back and forth through your recent actions in Pivot. If you’re navigating between multiple spaces or settings, these shortcuts make retracing your steps easier.

The sidebar menu is designed for quick access to essential features like account management, spaces, and notifications. Let’s break down each section and how it can elevate your productivity.

Profile and account management

At the very top of the sidebar, your profile picture is a gateway to your account settings and tools.

-Switch between accounts: Manage multiple organizations by switching accounts without logging out. This feature is invaluable for those juggling roles across different teams.

-Profile settings: Personalize your profile by updating your name, bio, and profile picture, making it easy for collaborators to recognize and connect with you.

-Organization admin access: If you’re an admin, this section lets you oversee your organization’s spaces, manage users, and configure permissions.

-Download the desktop app: You can install the Pivot desktop app from here.

Space and room navigation

The heart of your work in Pivot revolves around spaces and rooms, and the sidebar makes sure they’re always within reach.

-Create new space: Need a fresh environment for a project or collaboration? This button lets you set up spaces for everything from team projects to personal organization. Tailor each space to fit your goals.

-Your personal space: Think of this as your digital workspace. Use it to store personal notes, brainstorm ideas, or organize private projects that don’t require collaboration.

-Rooms: Access your active rooms directly from the sidebar, jumping into real-time discussions or catching up on threaded conversations without searching.

Notifications and favorites

Staying on top of updates and alerts is easy with the notifications section, keeping everything organized in one place.

-Inbox: This feature aggregates messages, mentions, and important alerts across all your spaces. It ensures you never miss a critical update, no matter how many projects you’re involved in.

-Favorites section: Pin the spaces you access most frequently for even faster navigation. Once you mark a space as a favorite, it appears at the top of the sidebar for easy access.

Find Answers Fast: Help & Customization

This space at the bottom of the menu connects you to essential resources, providing both immediate answers and long-term guidance.
