Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited and acceptable uses of
the Pivot Services. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given
in the Terms of Service or Master Agreement. By using the Services, you agree to
this AUP.
1. General Principles
Pivot is committed to providing a secure, reliable platform for collaboration.
Customers and users must use the Services responsibly and in compliance with all
applicable laws and regulations.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not use the Services to create, store, transmit, or share content that:
- Violates applicable law, including intellectual property, data protection,
export control, or financial regulations.
- Is fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading.
- Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, offensive, or otherwise inappropriate.
- Promotes hatred, harassment, or violence against individuals or groups.
- Contains malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious code.
- Infringes or misappropriates the rights of others, including intellectual
property or privacy rights.
3. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any Pivot system without prior
written authorization.
- Circumvent or disable any security or authentication measures.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
- Use the Services for denial‑of‑service attacks, spam, or any activity that
degrades service for others.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Services except to the extent
permitted by law.
- Use automated means (e.g., bots, scrapers) to access or extract data from the
Services except as permitted through published APIs.
- Resell, lease, or otherwise provide the Services to third parties without
authorization.
- Misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with any person or entity.
4. Security & Privacy
- You must not attempt to bypass or undermine Pivot’s security or data
protection controls.
- You must not use the Services to collect or process personal data without
appropriate notice and consent as required by law.
- If you discover a security vulnerability, report it promptly to
[email protected] and do not attempt to exploit it. See our Vulnerability
Disclosure Policy at /security/vulnerability-disclosure.
5. Enforcement
Pivot may investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we believe a
violation has occurred, we may:
- Remove or disable access to offending content.
- Suspend or terminate user accounts or customer access.
- Report activity to law enforcement or regulators where appropriate.
- Pursue legal remedies as available.
6. Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for:
- Ensuring their users comply with this AUP.
- Configuring the Services in a way that meets legal and regulatory obligations.
- Notifying Pivot promptly if they become aware of misuse.
7. Changes
Pivot may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in laws, industry
standards, or our Services. Material updates will be communicated through the
Services or by email. The updated AUP will be effective as of the date posted.
