Rooms as Blocks

Rooms in Pivot can be created directly as blocks, enabling seamless integration of communication and collaboration tools into your workflow.

Step 1: Click the ”+” button or press ”/” in your workspace, then select Create room from the options.

Step 2: Configure the room settings by selecting:

• Type: Choose from chat, post, audio, video, or streaming.
• Room name: Provide a descriptive name that reflects the room’s purpose.

Once the settings are configured, click Create Room to finalize the setup.

Polls

Polls are a versatile feature designed to engage team members, gather opinions, or make decisions efficiently. This tool allows for quick feedback collection on any topic, enabling more dynamic collaboration within spaces.

Setting Up a Poll

Creating a poll in Pivot is simple and flexible, giving users control over the content and format.

1. Question: Start by entering a clear and concise question for the poll.
2. Due Date and Time: Set a deadline to ensure responses are collected within a specific timeframe.
3. Poll Options: Add up to 10 options for participants to choose from.
4. Anonymous Voting: Enable this option to maintain privacy and encourage honest feedback.

Once all details are entered, click Done to save the poll. The poll will then be shared within the designated space for participants to cast their votes.

Viewing Polls

Polls appear in the Polls Block with a clean and intuitive interface:

• Empty poll state: Polls not yet completed display as Untitled, allowing for further edits.
• Active poll: When live, participants can view the question, available options, and cast their votes. The total number of votes is displayed for visibility.
• Voted poll: After voting, results dynamically update, showing percentages and total votes for each option in a visually clear format.

Polls in Pivot streamline decision-making and promote collaboration by making collective choices quick and transparent.

Audio and Video Messages

The audio and video messages feature allows users to record, share, and engage with content directly within the platform. Designed for enhanced communication and collaboration, this feature adds a personal, dynamic touch to information sharing.

• Record audio or video: Seamlessly record audio messages, video messages, or screenshare sessions for versatile communication.
• Preview before sending: A thumbnail preview of video recordings is displayed, enabling users to review and refine their content before sharing.
